ABOUT ICEXDE
ICEXDE is a project whose mission is to unite sport, research and companies in relation to sport in an institution whose purpose is to "bring together and coordinate" all sports research groups; "Define and study" all fields of action of experimental sports sciences; "Attract" human capital with high added value, generating Knowledge Economy; “Innovate” (R + D + i) through new fields of research and business application; "Create economic development" through access to public and private funds; and “generating synergies” through new forms of management through a “State / Private Company Join-Venture”.

ICEXDE plans to be an OPI's (Public Research Organizations) under the Ministry of Science and Innovation that will coordinate all research centers related to sport and where health sciences, physical activity and sport, design and technological innovation and other applied sciences contribute decisively to the enhancement of all areas related to industry and knowledge in sport, encouraging the transfer of R + D + i to the company through a foundation that participates in the management of the center and where the lines are evaluated of the existing centers and the need to create new research fields is assessed.

We are facing a SINGLE MOMENT from which it is possible to give a DEFINITIVE IMPULSE to sport in all its aspects (research, health, competition, economic, industrial, ...) and we believe it because THE SITUATION FAVORS US: it favors us because there is established sports research R + D + i generator; It favors us because economic studies support the importance of the sports economy; It favors us because the EU is aware and strives to give sport the importance it deserves; It favors us because, despite the current situation, the EU makes available the Extraordinary Funds that will allow the launching of ambitious and future-oriented projects; It favors us because there is a relevant business fabric that also seeks to unite; It favors us because today, as never before, we are aware of the importance of sport for healthy social habits and savings on the health system; It favors us because new industrial deposits are being sought that favor quality employment, the transmission of knowledge to the industry, respect for the environment, technological and computer advancement; and it favors us because I believe that ICEXDE represents a clear idea, a consistent organization for the future, a call for public-private collaboration and an intention to generate, in all senses, social welfare. It is for all this reason that I believe that it should choose to be a PERTE or Project Tractor of the Extraordinary Funds EU as a new industry of the future.

Body that will be integrated as part of the structure of Public Research Bodies (OPIs) belonging to the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, and at the level of CSIC, ISCIII, CIEMAT, INIA, IEO, IGME and IAC.

It will bring together and coordinate: all national research groups, both those developed throughout the country and those developed in the Center itself, which are related to experimental sciences in relation to sport at all levels, from education to competition , from material equipment to social welfare.

It will define and study: all the fields of action that fit within the experimental sciences of sport so that there is no free area of study that can have a positive impact on sports development, from the Health Sciences, through the Activity Sciences Physics and Sports, Design and Technological Innovation and Other Applied Sciences.
In addition, we would have the opportunity to solve a problem that seems to exist on the part of sports researchers with a lack of collaboration with sports technicians, failing to take into account their indications and / or advice, prioritizing an investigation that is based on itself itself and not in the practice and sporting purpose.
. It will generate synergies: in collaboration with private companies so that knowledge reverts to society through new economic sources.
. It will generate knowledge: to attract high value and quality human capital, contributing to the generation of a new economy for the future - Knowledge Economy.
. It will innovate (authentic R + D + i): through the generation of new knowledge in new fields of research yet to be explored, as well as the empowerment of all groups involved in scientific-sports research.
. It will attract economic capital: not only public but private that is interested in the scientific advances generated and that generates a pole of national and international attraction for all kinds of resources.
